Nine years ago (Halloween 2016) I submitted my two-week notice to an organization I worked at for nine years. The new job paid more, but that wasn’t the reason. I moved on for a new opportunity. More specifically – professional growth.
I left a hybrid job (before that was a thing) and a good working climate for a 100% on-site role with a longer commute.
Was it worth it? Yes. No doubt.
Since then, I’ve transitioned on to other opportunities as well.
I’ve learned by taking chances. The DOGE layoff I experienced this past summer brought me to a new job that’s better than what I had.
Bet on yourself. No one else will.
