Florida's typical running season is fall through early spring due to the warm and humid summers. The 2018-2019 running season was my best, completing:
Six (6) Half Marathons (13.1 miles)
Four (4) 10 Ks
One (1) 5 Miler
I posted some photos below. More will be uploaded shortly
Looks like a good run for a good cause. Should be beautiful. Looked at the results from last year and the race will yield over 300 runners.
14th annual Mile for Moffitt in downtown Tampa and along Bayshore. They offer 10K, 5K, 1-Mile Run/Walk, Wheelchair Race or Kids Dash. This will be my second appearance. Very good local cause and great participation. Moving...... Visit https://give.moffitt.org/site/TR?fr_id=1070&pg=entry
Second race in the challenge. Last year's theme and medal was the Mercury Space Program, the first capsule in the space race. This years theme will be Gemini, then Apollo next year. Then you get the Challenge Medal. There will also be a run/medal with the Space Shuttle theme. They also offer a marathon. Registered! Visit http://www.spacecoastmarathon.com/
This is my 10th or 11th appearance. Start off in downtown and run down and back up Bayshore. The post run festivities are remarkable. I have experienced very cold and very humid starts, but they have always been remarkable. Visit http://www.publix.com/gasparilla for more information.
Good store to purchased running apparel including shoes. Stores are scattered across the Tampa/Sarasota area. Every store has a platform to diagnosis your running pattern and provide good recommendations that fit your running style. It worked for me. Visit www.fit2run.com.
Great running club and a great resource to find Tampa area running events. I've met several members over the past year so I ended up joining. Great group for all runners. Come on out!. Visit RunTampa.com for more information
I was a member several years ago. Great group of people. I just can't participate any longer due to their proximity and my work schedule. They provide some great resources for members and a very comprehensive list of local races. Visit BRC for more information.
