I’m launching this blog with something easy.
I routinely listen to podcasts to keep me in updated with what’s going on. I regularly listen while running, working out, in the yard, anywhere. Here’s a sample of what I listen to:
Security Now is a two hour – once a week podcast that goes in depth on many current issues. Steve Gibson’s last topic of each cast is usually very deep and in the weeds.
The Cyberwire for daily cybersecurity current events. About 30 minutes. Dave Bitner does a good job keeping everyone “in the know” of recent cybersecurity news.
The AI Daily Brief for my daily digest of current AI news and trends. 30 minutes. The first 8-10 minutes is devoted to news related topics, then he goes off on an educational story of some sort.
Schwab Market Update gives me an eight minute recap of the previous day’s stock market and economic news and what to expect in the next day or two. I invest and trade, so this podcast is perfect to keep you up to date in less than 8 minutes. They recently changed the time from after market close (5PM EST) to early morning which I think is better.

If you notice, these are all different. I’m actually subscribed to maybe 30 podcasts. I listen to some every week while other when the subject content is interesting or in the news.
It’s also good to have a back up source if you want amplifying information on something.
I play them all, or most of them at 1.25 speed. There are some that I can actually listen to at 1.5 speed depending on how technical they are.
I will share some more podcasts in a later post.
