The DougWasBuiltNotBorn (DWBNB) blog has been flushed and will begin with new content.
I’ve stepped up my networking since being recently laid off due to DOGE. I’ve met so many people, including those who are:
– attempting to break into IT or Cybersecurity.
– making a career pivot.
– seeking re-employment after a layoff.
– interested in how others have learned cybersecurity/IT in the past.
So as part of my website, I’m relaunching my DougWasBuiltNotBorn blog page.
What’s DougWasBuiltNotBorn?
It’s the label I’ve given myself as a outcome of me building a great career despite being a terrible student in K-12 academic wise. But I achieved a great career anyway. You can read my story by clicking on the About tab or access it directly via www.dougwasbuiltnotborn.
So what’s this Blog thing? Well, I have a number of hints, tricks, and success stories that I’ve shared with others from time to time. I’m going to document them and point readers to it.
Here’s what I anticipate writing about:
– Stories of how I started and successfully pivoted within my career.
– Latest learning I’m involved with along with some mediums I use today to remain relevant.
– Best/worst advice I’ve heard.
– Mistakes I’ve made along the way.
Once I gets this rolling, I’ll invite inputs from others who’ve had their own experiences – So it’s not all about me.
I predict this blog to transform. It will be a learning experience.
Please note. I’m experiencing inbound spam when it comes to blog reader’s submitting comments. I believe I now have the filtering set up correctly and the problem resolved. Once that’s verified, I’ll open the option for readers to comment.
Stay tuned!
