Had a fulfilled day yesterday.

I spent most of the day at the Tampa Bay Summit sponsored by ElevateIT. The event was outstanding. There were presentions and booths with sponsors. I found the people in the booths very informative, especially since I’m interested in going out on my own as an consultant. I also had good dialog with several attendees.

I went home and attended the Tampa Bay AWS User’s Group’s monthly meeting. This time it was virtual and the subject was “Disaster Recorvery for Today’s Cyber Threats”.

Although this forum is mostly AWS professionals, the guest speaker and Jeff Fudge spoke on the subject that refered to on prem issues too and how the issue relates to cloud and on prem together as a whole.

While I enjoy meeting in person at the AWS meet ups, it worked out very well virtually as I was at the summit all day.

I had to miss the Tampa Bay PMI monthly meeting that was also last night. Could not be in two places at the same time.
