How Does Doug Stay Built?
I’m frequently asked how I stay current in IT, cybersecurity and AI. I’m always happy to share what I use, but I know most people will forget the details by the time they actually need them. So instead, I decided to devote a page on this site to it and just point people here going forward.
I don’t endorse anything or anyone on this list. These are simply the podcasts and subscriptions I listen to and read on a regular basis.

My Work Horse
I purchased a new MacBook Air M5 with 64GB of memory before the prices skyrocketed. I run Parallels with VMs for Linux, Windows 11 Enterprise, and a second macOS instance. It runs very well, and the battery life when I’m on the go is excellent.
